Whiston Hospital
Whiston Hospital is Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals’ main acute hospital in Prescot, opened in 2010 with mostly single en-suite rooms. It has the emergency department (Level 0, entrance from Dragon Lane), critical care, the regional burns unit and plastic surgery, a children's ward and a maternity unit with delivery suite, fetal-maternal assessment unit and special care baby unit.

Patient and visitor parking in the multi-storey off Warrington Road (link bridge from Level 5 to the main entrance), the A&E car park off Dragon Lane and by the paediatric entrance off Stoney Lane, plus a disabled car park at the main entrance. Pay on foot: take a ticket on entry and pay at a machine before leaving. Maximum charge £8; weekly pass £20. EV chargers on levels 5 and 6 of the multi-storey. The Dragon Lane pay car park on the old pub site is private, not run by the trust.
