Wrightington Hospital
Wrightington Hospital is a specialist orthopaedic and musculoskeletal centre in countryside between Wigan and Southport, where Sir John Charnley performed the first total hip replacement. It focuses on hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and upper limb surgery, rheumatology and rehabilitation, and has no A&E.
