Freeman Hospital
Freeman Hospital in High Heaton is a specialist referral hospital with no A&E. It houses the cardiothoracic centre for adults and children, the Institute of Transplantation (heart, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas), the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, the regional renal centre, joint replacement surgery and a day treatment centre opened in 2022.
