St James's University Hospital

Maternity
Antenatal ward (J4): birth partners welcome 24 hours including overnight; up to two other adults 2–4pm and 6–8pm. Delivery suite: up to two birth partners, who can stay overnight. Postnatal ward (J5): 2–4pm and 6–8pm.
Intensive care
Adult ICU: 1pm–3pm and 5pm–7pm; up to two named family members a day, for up to two hours in one slot. More flexible at end of life.
One person may accompany a patient in the emergency department and at outpatient appointments. Visiting for end-of-life patients is agreed with the ward sister.
